Bringing H.O.P.E. back into Healthcare: What you don’t know CAN hurt you

Dr. Jodi Jakiel, D.C.

“Never underestimate the power of the human body to heal itself. I hear patient’s giving up on themselves on a regular basis saying, “This is my life” when doctor’s give them the diagnosis of Chrohn’s, Arthritis, Diabetes, etc. What if there was another option? What if patients were actually empowered to be proactive about their health? What if patients had the power to heal themselves?

Join me for a powerful workshop on healing your body from the inside out. Whether you are suffering from a chronic illness, chronic pain, or just want to improve your overall health and vitality, this talk is for you!”

Very few people inspire hope and live by example like Dr. Jodi Jakiel. In 2008, after graduating from Life College in Marietta, Georgia she returned to Florida to continue her ten year health care career as a chiropractor. Her mission was to change the face of healthcare through educating patients on the healing power they have within themselves and return their hope of achieving goals they never thought possible. In 2010, she opened Active Living Health Center in southeast Orlando.  This innovative office provides “Intensegrity Therapy,” a new approach to health care that integrates chiropractic care, manual therapy, and active rehabilition. In the coming years, it grew to include other alternative health modalities such as Acupuncture and Nutrition to serve as a “one stop shop” for those seeking complementary and alternative care.

Her thirst for knowledge didn’t stop there. Passionate about sports and the musculoskeletal system, she acquired her Diplomate in Sports Medicine, a degree only 300 other doctors hold in the United States. As a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, she has expertise in athletic injuries with an emphasis on correcting and preventing musculo-skeletal and connective tissue injuries and biomechanical imbalances. Her extensive clinical experience and ongoing active participation in sports gives her unique approach to treating athletes. Following her dreams, she became a participating Doctor for Olympic hopefuls. Ask her sometime about her time in Lake Placid adjusting the US Olympic Bobsled Team!
